With the emphasis on fun , this is THE place to head to to sample the  huge “Do It Yourself” okonomiyaki /monjayaki menu , for those as yet uninitiated to the joys of okonomiyaki ….think flour,vegetable,egg pizza slapped onto a personal hot plate and topped with your choice from literally dozens of toppings such as spicy sausage,bacon,pork,cheese,kimchee,seafood etc . The massive restaurant is always festive with every surface space adorned with original highly colourful art courtesy of Design Festa mural artists.

Sakuratei is open everyday from 11am until 11pm and offers a weekly lunchtime viking menu from 11am to 3pm consisting of okonomiyaki or monjayaki unlimited for just ¥1060 (weekends/holidays ¥1200) , evening viking costs slightly more at ¥2000 but there’s a free drink included as well as an option for viking yakisoba/yakiudon for the noodle fans!
