Milk is a pale liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. The liquid is an emulsion or colloid of butterfat globules within a water-based fluid that contains dissolved carbohydrates and protein aggregates with minerals. In addition to calcium, milk is a good source of many other vitamins.Donating breast milk: Human milk is not produced or distributed industrially or commercially; however, human milk banks collect donated human breast milk and redistribute it to infants who may benefit from human milk for various reasons (premature neonates, babies with allergies, metabolic diseases, etc.)
Milk is processed into a variety of dairy products such as cream, butter, yogurt, kefir, ice cream, and cheese.
In Pakistan, milk is still often supplied in jugs – as opposed to bottles and cartons – milk jugs.
The term milk is also used for white colored, non-animal beverages resembling milk in color and texture (milk substitutes) such as soy milk, rice milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.
