The chest itself is attractive dark wood with brass tone fittings. It’s fairly solid – although it may not be built for the ages, it doesn’t feel flimsy either. There is a drop panel in the front that hides two storage drawers. When using the chest on a table, the front panel is positioned in such a way that the bottom drawer is slightly impeded, but a bit of fiddling will allow you to open and fully extend the bottom drawer.
Included inside are a variety of paints – oils, acrylics, and water colors (both tubes and cakes). The paints are fresh; the texture and consistency are pleasant and easy to apply. The colors are good with rich pigments.
