This review is from: Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure: Wrecking Ball (Video Game)

If you buy Wrecking Ball you must have patience… I got him in the 3 character pack with Stealth Elf and Sonic Boom really needed those 2 but he was a pleasant addition. In the beginning he’s not that impressive… but I would put him out there with his crazy out of control spinning and little long reaching TOUNGE and bust up a few things.. Eventually got to an upgrade or two and WHAMMO!!! He’s great to put in the beginning of a battle. He turns into a crazy spinning blue ball with a FORCE FIELD that destroys anything in his path. Those powers are followed up with a BURP attack! Who else can do this??? Be sure to press and hold the burp attack for an even bigger result! For instance; you can build it up outside of a door and wait until you get inside to release the “BURP” whenever you want… Talk about control! He adds a little humor and craziness to the game and is great for wiping out a wide amount of opponents.

    STUCK IN A GAME GLITCH?????

SWITCH YOUR CHARACTER ON THE PORTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    IMMEDIATE FIX!!!!
DON’T BACK OUT THE GAME/SHUT SYSTEM OFF…YOU WILL LOSE YOUR PROGRESS..STAY CALM..TRADE CHARACTERS (or PICK UP THE SAME STUCK CHARACTER) ON THE PORTAL AND SWITCH RIGHT BACK..

This review is from: Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure: Wrecking Ball (Video Game)

Don’t get me wrong, Wrecking Ball can be either a potent battler (using Force Field energy, like a bowling ball), or something to reach things others Skylanders can’t (tongue attacks), but he comes with a few hitches: Firstly, if you make him an “Ultimate Spinner” (leaning towards powering up his Force Field), whatever passage that is smaller than his force field will not allow him to pass until you disrupt it (also, it may also awkwardly bounce Wrecking Ball off of background items, such as lamps and other objects hanging off of walls or ceilings).

Secondly making him “Total Tongue” (leaning on making his tongue attacks faster and reach further), will leave him with weak attacks, overall.

Wrecking Ball is ok, but I think I’ll keep with Spyro or Voodood as my go-to Magic-type Skylanders.

Still, the only OTHER reason I still play as him in the game, is… strangely, it’s like playing a hyperactive reptilian puppy-dog (i.e. he’s strangely cute).

Great Game, Highway Robbery on the price, November 23, 2011

ALL Skylanders figures retail for 7.99. Paying anything more is insane! These retailers are not listed by Activision as retial points for Skylander’s figures… therefore they are hunting them down at their local Gamestop (where I found a shelf FULL of Hex, Wrecking Ball, and Dino-Rang), Best Buy, Target (who carries the exclusive Whirlwind), or Walmart (who carries the exclusive Drill Sergeant), and then jacking them up by 3… 4… 5 times the price!

Don’t reward this kind of behavior… just make the rounds and you will turn them up. And don’t think these “rare” figures are any better… the game is a load of fun, but not exactly challenging and all you need to get everything on each level is a little patience and one figure of each element. Just to get to the end and beat the final boss requires nothing more than the figures that came with the game.
