Shaun O’Callaghan piloted a DJI Phantom quadcopter into an active volcano and got some incredible footage. The video was shot at Mount Yasur on Tanna Island, Vanuatu. Mount Yasur has a height of 361 m (1,184 ft) above sea level and is regarded by many as the world’s most accessible, active volcano. It is a famous tourist attraction in Vanuatu.

I honestly have no idea what the right response should be from the outside world regarding the Ukrainian revolution and Crimean independence. I worry that the rights and interests of ordinary Ukrainians and Crimeans will be overrun by both Western and Russian expansionism. But the threat of war by Putin, using Russian ethnics (who have legitimate concerns) as a pretext, is the most worrisome. On everyone’s mind should be the current … situation? morasse? clusterfuck? horror? … that is Syria. Who wants to see another civil war like that?
