Gustav Klimt was an Austrian artist who worked from 1880 to 1918. He created a unique style with all his work, but is perhaps best known for his “Gold Period.” In this post, though, is offered a simpler example of Klimt’s artistry – a drawing of a woman lying on her stomach showing a nude derriere and upper thighs. Klimt’s cleverness and talent in creating unique beauty with his pen strokes and a little paint is exemplified here.
Gustav Klimt was a prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement and over his career created numerous paintings, murals, drawing and other kinds of art.
