There is a great vintage bowling alley located a few blocks from my house. Vernon Lanes.
I’ve been to this place a few times and always thought it would be a great setting to shoot pinups in. I finally decided to set something up. Now I needed a pinup girl! It just so happens that I bumped into the Lovely Brittany Jean while at a Rev. Horton Heat concert. She was ready to shoot and had outfits already in mind!
Gotta love a prepared pinup girl!
She dropped by the Boudoir Louisville studio for hair and makeup, then we all went over to the bowling alley.
I decided to go with my brand spanking new Nikon SB910 flashes, 3 of them. They gave off more than enough light to fill the bowling alley. I also used my new Chimera collapsable beauty dish! This thing is awesome! Triggered the whole thing with the Pocket Wizard TTL system.
OK, enough with the nerd talk!
We had around an hour to shoot, so I started setting up lights while Brittany Jean changed into her 1st of 3 outfits. We cranked this shoot out. 3 outfits, 5 different settings. Video as well as stills in an hour!
