Women… By Kei Phillips Plus Women Pin-ups

If there is any place where women dominate it is as the subject of pin-up art. Sure there are plenty of male subjects in the artistic world of pin-up creation. But ask anyone at random to describe a pin-up and you will get a description of a hot, usually scantily clad or revealingly clothed or nude woman.

Put a woman in a bikini as Kei has done here and she immediately becomes a pin-up regardless of her individual, physical shape.

But while I love the human bodies women have – the beauty of that shape in all its forms. I am not ignorant that what makes a difference in my day to day life is the insight, intelligence, strength and courage that women everywhere possess.

If our species is to survive through the next century, it will be because we as a species have finally stopped from preventing women from true control of their lives and bodies. It is the struggle of our times to eliminate the idea of “domination” over the other and bring into life a world where women are the true partners with men, and vice versa, in all aspects of society – where we are all well met.

And if that means that more male bodies will become the subject of pin-up art – so be it.
