And that amazing erotic beauty of his art is probably, why more than 100 years after his birth, Alberto Vargas is still regarded as “The King of Pin-Up Art.

Considered one of the greatest of the early modern glamour artists, Vargas’s carer began just prior to World War II. From the very beginning, Alberto Vargas was known as a painter of pin-up girls and erotica – he did calendar art, illustrations for Esquire Magazine and ended his career doing nude and erotic women art for Playboy.
