Vintage Nude Woman Seated on Floor
Mar 19th, 2024 by Aldouspi

Beginning in the early 1900’s, photography became more and more recognized for its ability to create into own type of art. Photographers were creating scenes in studios or posing models in outdoors. By the 1920’s and onwards a whole new genre of images, now known as vintage nudes, was created. One such photography was Jacob Merkelbach. A professional photographer of important people of his time, Merkelbach also experimented capturing the female nude on film. Below is one such example of his work.

This image of a nude woman seated with folded knees on the floor, with an odd circular light behind her, is available as an 8.5 x 11 inch photo print. It is for sale at my store on eBay (without the watermark). You can learn more about purchasing a photo print of this “Seated Nude Woman” by clicking on the picture. A Vintage Nude Photo

There she rests
        with folded legs kneeling
        on the floor.

Beauty –
        in black & white.

Nude to the eyes
Celestial to the heart
Surges to the loins.

She is
        a photographer’s gift
        to eternity.

Beautiful Woman on Roof by Elvgren

Beautiful Woman on Roof by Gil Elvgren – Beautiful Pinup Art

There was a time when to watch shows on your television set you had to have an antenna on your house’s roof. And to get the perfect picture you needed to adjust the antenna – moving it right or left – to pick up the best broadcast signal. In the lovely Gil Elvgren pin-up art below, a beautiful woman is sitting on the edge of a roof adjusting the TV aerial and and showing a bit of leg at the same time. This is a classic example of the sexy “cheesecake” art of the late 1940’s and 1950’s.

This image of a pretty woman up on the rooftop, her leg curled around the pole of a television antenna, is available as an 8.5 x 11 inch photo print. It is for sale at my store on eBay (without the watermark). You can learn more about purchasing a photo print of this “Woman up on the Roof” by clicking on the picture. Beautiful Woman Shows Legs While Fixing TV Antenna by Gil Elvgren Pinup

Woman on the Roof

The pinups of the past
were women
who got things done –
INDEPENDENT
from their hubbies off at work.

Beautiful, but handy, too
you might find her up on the roof
adjusting a TV antenna,
when needed,
to make sure she could watch
“The World Turns”
without static on
the television screen.

And if neighbors got a look
at her lovely legs
when she was working
so diligently up there….
Well, they should just mind
their own business –
and look away!
