Cartoonists Enrich Life – Cartoons Can Bring Laughter To Your Business

Are you looking for a cartoonist to help in your business?

Cartoonists’ forums are a great way to source cartoonists with particular skills or flair. The cartoonists forums accommodate cartoonists who are very experienced professional cartoonists and those who are beginners or drawing cartoons just for fun (hobby cartoonists).

Quite often the cartoonists on those forums will have cartoon drawing competitions where you can see cartoonist versus cartoonist go into battle armed only with humor and artistic ability. The competition is fierce and the results are fantastic. If you enjoy reading cartoon gags you should enjoy viewing those cartoonist forums.

Most cartoonist’s forums have a ‘cartoonists work/job offers’ section for anyone who wishes to post offers of work. Here you can stipulate the type of cartoonist skills you are seeking and, of course, the type of cartooning work required.

All interested cartoonists can then make contact with you and you can take it from there.

If you visit the sites of the cartoonists (which you can find by checking out the cartoonists profiles on the cartoonists forum) you will be able to identify those cartoonists who provide commercial style cartoons.

If you, for example, are in the merchandise business and you are seeking a cartoonist to draw funny cartoons and write cartoon gags for use on t-shirts, caps, mugs, etc., then you can pretty much take your pick form the cartoonists out there.

It is merely a question of finding one who’s sense of humor you share and whose cartoon style you like and feel your target market will also like.

Not all of the cartoonists on the cartoonist’s forum hire out services, but I am sure many of them would be delighted of any unexpected offers.

Expressive Anatomy for Comics and Narrative: Principles and Practices – Will Eisner Instructional Books

Expressive Anatomy for Comics and Narrative: Principles and Practices from the Legendary Cartoonist (Will Eisner Instructional Books)

Designed and outlined by Will Eisner before his death in 2005, this posthumous masterwork, the third and final book in the Will Eisner Instructional Series, finally reveals the secrets of Eisner’s own techniques and theories of movement, body mechanics, facial expressions, and posture: the key components of graphic storytelling. From his earliest comics, including the celebrated Spirit, to his pioneering graphic novels, Eisner understood that the proper use of anatomy is crucial to effective storytelling. His control over the mechanical and intuitive skills necessary for its application set him apart among comics artists, and his principles of body grammar have proven invaluable to legions of students in overcoming what is perhaps the most challenging aspect of creating comics. Buttressed by dozens of illustrations, which display Eisner’s mastery of expression, both subtle and overt, Expressive Anatomy for Comics and Narrative will benefit comics fans, students, and teachers and is destined to become the essential primer on the craft.
