Celebrities Behind Funny Cartoon Characters

Cartoons as well as animated films are considered as a great source of entertainment. You may be very familiar with the animated character such as Rapunzel in the film “Tangled”, Pedro in the film Rio, Po in the film Kung Fu Panda. However, do you know the celebrities behind these successful and popular cartoons?

The character Smurfette in the 2011 American 3D family animated film “The Smurfs” features the beautiful voice of singer Katy Perry. Perry was chosen by the filmmakers even before auditioning for the role. The singer shared that “They had done a blind test where they took certain voices from previous interviews and matched them with the character. They liked my voice without even knowing who it was, and when they found out it was me, they thought that would work out. My personality was just a plus!”

Jesse McCartney is famous as a singer-songwriter, an actor and a voice actor. He has taken part in many animated movies and drawn much attention of fans as he voiced Theodore in the 2007 film Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Jamie Foxx is the celebrity who stands behind the samba’s lover Nico, a close friend of Pedro in the 2011 American 3D computer-animated musical comedy film Rio

Standing behind the character Penny in the computer-animated adventure/action comedy film Bolt is Hannah Montana’s star Miley Cyrus

Rapunzel, the princess with a whole lot of spunk in the 2010 Disney movie “Tangled”, is voiced by singer and actress Mandy Moore. The “Tangled” has been named the most expensive animated film ever.

The singer, rapper and actor Will.I.am, a member of the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas, was provided the voice of Pedro, a rapping -crested Cardinal who befriends Blu and gives him advice on how to attract girls in the 2011 American 3D computer-animated musical comedy film Rio.

The famous actor Jack Black was selected to be the main voice star who voiced as Po in the 2008 American computer-animated action comedy film Kung Fu Panda
