About Gene Pressler

Pressler was a popular American illustrator of the 1920s who worked in the style of Maxfield Parrish, sharing that artist’s penchant for ultra-saturated hues and idealized feminine beauty. His work is often associated with the Pompeian Company of Cleveland, Ohio, which manufactured a popular line of massage creams and “skin food.”
