Vintage Nude Photo Prints – Pinups for your Man Cave
Over 120 years ago, an explosion of photographic freedom occurred – nude images of women (and men) escaped the painters’ canvases and began to appear on photographic paper via the camera lenses of innovative photographers. The vintage nude was born. Some nudes were filmed by “explorers” capturing the image of native tribes, some became French Postcard and some immortalized the actresses and dancers and models who were beginning to perform in silent films and on the stage of the Ziegfeld Follies.
Today, these black and white photographs (sometimes colorized by hand) are a window into the beauty of women of yesteryear. These sometimes quaint, retro beauties, fulfill a nostalgic yearning for the past. While, at the same time proving that the human form of a nude is amazing regardless of what year or time period they come from.
if you appreciate the female nude and would like to have such pinup prints on the walls of your man cave, dorm room, office, bedroom or as part of your general wall décor, you are in luck. I have nearly 100 vintage nude 8.5 x 11 inch photo prints for sale on eBay. Unfortunately, you can’t just go to eBay and search for them. A couple of years ago, eBay decided to de-list vintage nudes from their search catalog, making it harder for a buyer to find them. But they are still for sale and you can find them by going to my store on eBay here:

I sought out the best and most epoch images by such photographers as Alfred Cheney Johnston, Edward Curtis, Frères Neurdein, Alfred Stieglitz and others – the greats of their time.
I also have enjoyed the work of those great artists that have created classic fine art nudes on canvas. If that is something that interests you, you can fine 250 8.5 x 11 inch photo prints of fine art nudes on eBay here: Fine Art Nude Photo Prints For Sale.
News About Vintage Nude PhotographyVintage Nude PhotographsIt is unexpected how a woman seen in black and white becomes more than an object of desire, transformed by film, into a work of art. The vintage nudes of old French Postcards, tribal women of North Africa, and the frolicking dancers from Ziegfeld Follies’ stage, photographed so politely, are windows now into a bygone era which tells the truth that beauty in the form of female nudes is forever. ©2024 Carl Scott Harker, author of The Adventures of Oilock Combs: Two Sherlock Holmes Pastiches |
