A pinup girl, a country road and a pink Ford Thunderbird. What else do you need?
It’s not everyday that you find a mint condition Thunderbird. It’s even more rare to find a PINK mint condition Thunderbird! We actually found this car in our Facebook feed one day and contacted the person that posted the pic. She put us in contact with her Mother, who was the owner of the car. Needless to say, we waited for the perfect sunny day to shoot this car. There was no way this thing was coming out of the garage unless we had perfect weather. Keep in mind, perfect weather for a hot rod owner and perfect weather for a photographer are two different things. We shot during full sunlight, no clouds and sun high in the sky. Basically the worst shooting conditions you could have. I used 3 Profoto B1 strobes to over power the sun a bit.
The always lovely Courtney drove down from Dayton, Ohio to help us out with this shoot. We have shot Courtney before, she is always great to shoot with!
