Tohoku Farm & Ranch practices chemical free environmentally friendly agriculture.The vegetables grown on site are not only an integral part of our daily health but are also beautiful to behold in their natural settings, especially when in full bloom.
Wonderfully healthy and even dignified with colours ranging the full glorious spectrum, there are many nutritious varieties of organically grown vegetables and herbs to be found here growing under the Tohoku sun! Tohoku Farm & Ranch also features training grounds for thoroughbred horses in addition to the strictly pesticide-free vegetable and herb tracts and free-range poultry areas which produce the famed “red and blue” eggs.
Raised on chemical free feed and vegetation, the fertilizer manure that our horses produce is an indispensable part of the “cycle of life” on the farm.
Thoroughbreds differ from purebreds in that they are not bred for bloodline heritage but from a lineage of top performing and race-proven parents.
Foals, therefore cannot be considered thoroughbreds without the virtue of thoroughbred parents. Horses raised in cold regions such as Aomori enjoy the well deserved reputation of having stamina and of being excellent racers as a result of the health benefits derived from the region’s four distinct seasons and the robust exercise gained from roaming the vast tracts of open land.
