My son is 4 1/2 and has just discovered graphic novels, starting with W.I.T.C.H., book 2. We’re on to book 1 and ready to start looking for #3 and beyond. He loves these books, surprisingly to me, and I love them as well. He’s been watching Studio Gibli movies since he was little, so it makes sense to me that he would like the manga style. Now, we just have to get our library to stock all of the series!

i loved it. it really made me laugh, i hope others will too…BUT…

the drawing style is different from the TV show. the graphic novel version of the story is also VERY DIFFERENT from the tv series, but still a great read. the differences kept me interested…i just had to see what else would happen to these girls. it might seem a bit too silly at times for older readers, but it has a few moments that will really make u laugh.

If You Are Looking For A Graphic Novel Version Of The Animated TV Show…These Books Are Not For You!!!

I know that the reviews are about the books usually, but I can’t sit back and let the socalled “review” by Kiki Lars to go alone, as the claims by the reviewer is unbacked, untruthful and totally unbalanced.

She more or less accuses us Fans of this great comic series, of stealing, moreover she does apparently not know that this Comic series originated in Italy, and was CREATED in Italy, by Disney Italy, where it’s currently at the Issue 51, which is like 16 Issue’s infront of the Philipines where the reviewer got this socalled “U are stealing” information from.

Also here from the Offical Disney Worldwide Publishing / Philipine area and I quote,

W.i.t.c.h. is published in the Philippines by Summit Media since 2002. This series is in the English language!

W.i.t.c.h. is a comic book magazine about five ordinary girls with five extraordinary powers. Their mission is to protect the world from the evil forces of the Metaworld. To succeed, the girls have magical powers that can control the forces of nature: air, water, fire and earth.

But W.i.t.c.h. is also about the realities of growing up. The main characters are Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin (W.I.T.C.H.). Will, the leader of the group, can control and strengthen the powers of her friends. The magazine is targetted at girls aged 9 to 15.

W.i.t.c.h. was first launched in Italy in April 2001 and has since been reprinted in many countries around the world, from Mexico to Finland and the Philippines. Click here for an overview of all international W.i.t.c.h. publications.

    End quote

I do not know who Comic-Con is, but they have Nothing to do with Witch in philipines, Summit Media is the Phil. publishers of Witch.

Link to Disney Comic Worldwide: http://www.wolfstad.com/dcw/comic.asp?comicid=786

Furthermore, Witch Animated Series is created in France, by SIP Animation, together with Disney Worldwide and JETIX Channel and has not and do not need the approval of whatever Comic-Con is.

In conclusion, I hope that Amazon removes that review as it goes against good reviewing.

This review will probaly also get removed… but atleast I have now pointed out how faulty the Kiki Lars reviewer is.
