|Ultra-realism and drama for your paintings,
This book has some good advice on adding drama to your paintings by changing viewpoint, perspective, overlapping objects and using detail. Some of the example painting are quite eye-catching and really make you look. Everyday objects (socket wrenches, matchsticks) take on remarkable character when painted with these attitudes.
This is not a book for the beginning watercolorist. It’s more suited to those who have mastered the basics and are looking for ways to add drama and punch to their artwork. It is particularly helpful for those who enjoy ultra-realism.
