Watercolour Bible,
How to paint colour and light in watercolour by Jean Haines. I first saw this book in the library and after enthusiasticaly paging through it I knew that I just had to own it.
The book is packed full of ideas, tips and expert advice on how to achieve using this very difficult medium. The images will certainly inspire any emerging artist, like me, to create scenes in this loose wet into wet expressive style.
I would say HAVE A GO! BEST OF LUCK – Linde

|Loose Watercolor,
Jean is a great artist, especially her Rooster paintings. The photos of her paintings are great. Written instruction could be better. Hard to follow some of the instruction. She has pictures of paintings that would have been nice to have demonstration step by step instruction on. Overall, this book has a few demonstrations good for loosening up your painting. Less design and more running paint, which allows you to have a simple focus point. This is good because it makes it easier for the view to see what is happening. Sincerely, Ron Ridley from the Ridley Art Studio

|color and light,
For me,this book illustrates a very unfamiliar use of watercolor technique. I found that this method of painting is very relaxing, quick, and forces the painter into a looser style of painting. I like it.
