    Some comments about the artist Boris Vallejo:

    Boris Vallejo is renowned for his distinctive style of fantasy illustration. Fantasy art is historically rooted in mythology, folklore and religious art from all over the globe, but Boris Vallejo takes us so many more places. Along with using a classic sense of style to create and master sensuous full color oil paintings, Vallejo is probably first recognized as the iconic painter of Conan the Barbarian. But that work is just the tip of the creative iceberg. Boris Vallejo art is never schematic, flat or lifeless, his monsters and maidens burst out at you with color and vitality.

    His fantasy art, which is often erotic, is simply incredible. Boris Vallejo has done an amazing amount of paintings of beautiful maidens, heroic men, and fearsome monsters. His wife and partner, Julie Bell, is not to be outdone, she is revered for her unique sense of color and dramatic composition.

    Artist Vallejo is a Peruvian-born American painter having immigrated to the United States in 1964. He and Julie currently reside in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
