Vintage Nude Woman Seated on Floor

Beginning in the early 1900’s, photography became more and more recognized for its ability to create into own type of art. Photographers were creating scenes in studios or posing models in outdoors. By the 1920’s and onwards a whole new genre of images, now known as vintage nudes, was created. One such photography was Jacob Merkelbach. A professional photographer of important people of his time, Merkelbach also experimented capturing the female nude on film. Below is one such example of his work.
