Have you seen an artist’s work and want them to design a tattoo for you?

If you are into tattooing, as you search across the Internet, you are bound to come across artworks and artist’s that could make a good tattoo. And you probably have begun to regularly check out particular artists the focus on tattoo designs. Don’t be shy, if you like their work and want a tattoo design from a favored artist, send them an e-mail.

Hi Tiggy, i recently found out about you on tumblr, and i think your art is absolutely incredible. i was just wondering how much it would cost for a tattoo done by you, like what the minimum would be. And this may seem like a dumb question but have you ever tattooed a black person, because i was wondering would the ink show up on my skin and about maintenance and stuff. Anyways just curious. Hopefully, i have enough money to have you give me a awesome tattoo soon. xx Thanks.

However, if you think about tattooing in a similar way to drawing on paper with pencil crayons, imagine how the colours show up on dark paper compared to light paper. It’s totally the same deal when it comes to skin 🙂

I guess it depends on how dark your skin tone is really. Black ink would show up fine, but there wouldn’t be as much contrast between the ink and the skin, if that makes sense?

As another example –
I’m very pale but my skin as a slight olive tone to it. I’ve noticed that my tattoos I have, the blues come up a little more green because they mix with the slight yellowish colour of my skin!

Fueron muchos los “perros” que pasaron por la vida de Marilyn Monroe. Pero en estas líneas solamente hablaré del último que tuvo el placer de estar entre sus brazos: Maf. Este gracioso bichón maltés, cortesía del amigo Frank Sinatra, se convirtió en inseparable de nuestra rubia de oro durante los últimos meses de su vida, convirtiéndose en testigo directo de las últimas alegrías y penas de Marilyn. Ya sea por aclarar algunos puntos de la vida de su dueña o por dar algo de protagonismo a la suya, Maf (como tantos otros) ha querido sincerarse y contar sus vivencias con la estrella en un libro,
  “Vida y opiniones del perro Maf y de su amiga Marilyn Monroe”, 
transcrito por la mano (humana) de Andrew O’Hagen. 

Recién divorciada de Arthur Miller y separada del que fue su perro, Hugo, Marilyn atravesaba una de las crisis más fuertes de su vida. Era tiempo de reinventarse, de viajar, de conocerse a sí misma. El bueno de Frankie vio buena idea en regalarle un nuevo compañero para animar a su “amiga”, y ahí es donde entra Maf en escena. Se encuentra con una Marilyn algo desquiciada por la vida y el champagne, a la que acompaña en fiestas, rodajes y en sus momentos más tristes. 
Además de divagar buena parte del libro sobre filosofía y política (de manera excesiva para mi gusto), Maf también dedica algunas páginas a contar anécdotas que se conocen reales de la vida de Marilyn. Como por ejemplo cómo en el desastroso rodaje de Something’s Got to Give por fin coincidieron Marilyn y Tippy para rodar su escena juntos en uno de los días en los que ella si se presentó para trabajar. 
Todo parecía indicar que aquel día de rodaje sería productivo pero, aunque Marilyn estaba dispuesta a hacer su parte, Tippy no estaba demasiado colaborador aquel día. Tenía que acudir a los brazos de su dueña, ladrando y meneando la cola, feliz de verla tras 5 años perdida en una isla. Pero una vez en sus manos, no soltaba ladrido alguno para desquicio de su entrenador y del director, a punto del suicidio. ¿Quién no se quedaría en blanco en el regazo de la mismísima Marilyn Monroe?

En definitiva, “Vida y opiniones del perro Maf y de su amiga Marilyn Monroe”, puede resultar un libro lo suficientemente ameno para aquellos que gustamos de Marilyn y de aquella década dorada, pero no lo bastante revelador como muchos esperaban. Juzguen ustedes mismos.
