1994 Coca-Cola Company “Santa Claus Card #20” by Haddon Sundblom. He is best remembered for his Coca-Cola’s Santas Ads that he painted for them from the 1930s-70s. Sundblom’s Santas firmly established the grandfatherly figure in Christmas imagery. So popular were Sundblom’s images of Claus (Sundblom’s images are used by Coca-Cola to this day) that the urban legend soon arose that Sundblom had actually created the modern image of Santa Claus (one can not forget the influence of Thomas Nast)…
